Hello! I'm a PhD candidate in atmospheric chemistry and climate science at MIT.

In my research, I use satellite remote sensing and chemical transport modeling to study atmospheric composition, with a focus on wildfire smoke, tropospheric ozone, and emissions from transient sources. I am currently a NASA FINESST Fellow.

Previously, I worked as a data scientist at a climate-tech startup and as a research fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. I studied physics and astronomy at Amherst College.

My email is joepalmo7@gmail.com. I use he/him pronouns.
